Privacy Policy

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the public After the Fall website and to the player portal. It does not cover our Discord-gated community portal or staff/admin tools, which require a separate login, are excluded from our analytics, and are governed by their own handling of data.

Information We Collect

We do not ask you for personal information in order to browse the site, and we do not sell or share what we collect. We do use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used — which pages people read, roughly where in the world they are, what kind of device they are on, and how many people click through to our Discord. That is reported to us in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we run no advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider may automatically record standard request information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request — in server logs. This is used to operate and secure the site and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Third-Party Services

Some parts of the site link to or load content from third parties. When you use these, the third party's own privacy policy applies:

• Discord — our primary community link. Joining or interacting with our Discord is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy.
• Ko-fi— donations are handled entirely on Ko-fi's platform. We never receive your payment card details. See Ko-fi's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic. It sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and similar) to tell repeat visits apart, and Google receives your IP address as part of delivering it. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser add-on.
• Google Fonts & map tiles — pages load fonts and, on some pages, map imagery from third-party servers. These providers may receive your IP address as part of delivering that content.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies in your browser so that repeat visits can be told apart from new ones. We set no advertising cookies. Signing in to the player, community, or admin portals also sets a session cookie, which is what keeps you logged in.

Pages We Don't Measure

Analytics is deliberately switched off on some pages rather than simply not looked at. The staff admin tools and the Discord-gated community portal send nothing to Google, and neither does the anonymous tip form — no page view is recorded for it at all, so there is no third-party record that a browser opened it. The tip form itself never asks who you are.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
